Extending from the 16th Avenue in the north to the Fraser River in the south, including the Musqueam community, Dunbar-Southlands is known as an affluential neighbourhood of Vancouver. It’s a charming and quiet area with a tight-knit community consisting of families with children residing in private dwellings. Green space is abundant here, with tree-lined streets and multiple recreational areas all around. There are also several restaurants where locals can enjoy various specialties from inside or outside of the country, although the neighbourhood tends to get quite sleepy after 8 p.m., so there aren’t many things to do at night.
Walking through Dunbar-Southlands, you will instantly notice the difference in housing from the rest of Vancouver. More than 60% of properties here are single-family detached houses, with almost 30% being semi-detached row houses and duplexes.
