If I should describe Killarney with one word, it would be diverse. And not only ethnically. The housing, land use, activities, businesses, everything is as diverse as it can be. This is mainly due to its history and location. It’s one of the areas that started developing last in Vancouver, so most of the residents are people that migrated here during the 1900s.
Because of its proximity to Fraser River, Killarney is linked to the rest of Vancouver through both water and land, allowing residents to go in and out of the neighbourhood easily. And because it’s covered in parks and green spaces, it offers great opportunities for locals to enjoy versatile outdoor activities and focus on a healthier and calmer lifestyle.
