Japantown, Little Tokyo, or Paueru-gai, as locals know it, is located between Chinatown and Gastown. It’s an old Vancouver neighbourhood, and although its name is Japantown, there is little of the Japanese population that once lived there due to the confiscation of properties during WWII. However, traditional Japanese restaurants and shops can be found throughout the whole neighbourhood to bring authentic Japanese experience to locals and tourists.
