It’s an established community with lots of trees, The well-known Dunbar Village shopping area, and McCleery Golf Course. 

Dunbar-Southlands is known as an affluent neighbourhood consisting of commercial and residential areas with single-family dwellings. The earliest homes in Dunbar-Southlands were built in the English Arts and Crafts and the Edwardian Building styles. Some of them date before 1920, and because of the community’s preservation efforts, they are still used as single-family homes to this day.
