False Creek is a small inlet laid between Downtown Vancouver and the rest of the city. It’s a relatively newer neighbourhood in Vancouver that underwent a major change in the past 25 years. It went from a poor industrial area to one of Vancouver’s hippest and urban communities, filled with people from different corners of the world.
Because of its favourable position, False Creek has become a highly sought-after area among homebuyers of different profiles. Most residents here are middle-aged couples and retirees, but the presence of schools and proximity to the business district and seawall has made False Creek popular among young families and singles too. There are also multiple up-and-coming bars, restaurants, and eateries, as well as spacious green spaces where locals can go for walks or spend their Sunday afternoon with friends and family.
The single-family house price depends significantly on the location of the property. The neighbourhood was rebuilt recently, so most buildings were constructed between 2000 and 2010. Prices typically move around the $900,000 benchmark, but if you want to own multi-bedroom waterfront property in False Creek, expect to spend around $1.5 million or more.
